We left from San Juan very early in the morning with a local guide who took us to the Monteverde natural park. It was almost a 3 hour trip until the entrance of the park. We started hiking at around 10 in the morning. I saw monkeys jumping from one tree to the other and came down from the trees to eat the fruits that we gave them. I also saw a sloth hanging from a branch, It moved very slowly along the branch. I saw many birds of all colors, tucanos that sang and flew above the trees, and green parakeets that flew in large groups and then layed on the highest branches of the trees. On the floor I saw small frogs with shiny colors, that jumped from one side to the other. I took many photos of the animals and plants, and we walked for several hours. Then we went to the refuge and had a typical lunch, it was delicious, and finally we came back on the truck to San Juan in the afternoon.
