Nag and Nagaina had planned well, but didn't think of a "plan B" in case someone were to try and interfere with their plan. Rikki's courage was stronger than his fear. Rikki stayed brave when fighting the cobras. Rikki remained loyal to the garden animals and Teddy's family the entire time he was fighting for their lives.
