Checks and Balances create a system of mutual influence and checks between the legislative and executive branches of government.
Explanation:Checks and Balances are a core democratic principle of American government, whereby each branch of the government (executive, judicial, and legislative) has some measure of influence over the other branches and may choose to block procedures of the other branches.
For example, in the relationship between the legislative and executive branches, several checks exist. The legislative branch has the power to approve or reject the bills proposed by the executive branch. Both the Senate and the House of Representatives must come to a majority agreement for a bill to become law. If either chamber does not agree to pass it, the new law cannot be enacted. This is an internal check within the legislative branch.
On the other hand, the executive branch, specifically the President, has the power to check the legislative branch's law-making power by either signing a bill into law or vetoing it. If the President chooses to veto a bill, it can be overridden by Congress if a two-thirds (supermajority) of both the Senate and the House of Representatives vote to pass it again, demonstrating an external check on the executive branch by the legislative branch.

Answer: hitting a stuffed animal
Explanation: Nowadays, people are usually stressed and it is useful to employ some techniques to calm down. Calming techniques include breathing, relaxing, listening to something peaceful, thinking about something positive or even using a stress ball to reduce tension. However, hitting a stuffed animal is not a calming technique because hitting is more likely to increase the tension and anger.
I have a project on writing about a US legal case that took place in the supreme court do you guys know of any good ones that i can write about?
Well, there is a big one and that would be Obergefell V. Hodges. That one is always mentioned in my history class when we refer to the Supreme Court. (I hope I spelled them correctly.) That is the law which allows same sex marriage to be legal in ALL 50 states.
Then another case that I know is to class discussion. It would be California V. Greenwood 1988. That case is about the government digging through Greenwood's trash cans because they received a tip that he possessed narcotics.
Another one would be Texas V. Johnson. To me, this is very interesting. It's about a man burning the American flag in protest and it was classified under free speech. (In 1st Amendment). I cannot remember the ruling at this moment but, it was a cool case to learn about.
I hope this helps!!
In the seventeenth century, physicians and other scientists did not routinely perform autopsies. Which statement best illustrates the cause and effect? Physicians did not have the tools to do autopsies; therefore, they were not able to practice their surgical skills on the dead. At this time, it was considered culturally unacceptable to deface the dead; therefore, physicians did not know much about internal anatomy. Physicians were not curious about the inside of the human body; therefore, they did not investigate after death. At this time, disease was rampant; therefore, physicians were hesitant to cut into the dead for fear of catching the disease that killed the person.
The correct statement which best illustrates the cause and effect is:
“At this time, it was considered culturally unacceptable to deface the dead; therefore, physicians did not know much about internal anatomy.”
Due to tradition and religious belief, and moral reasons, it was considered to be a sin to do experimentations with the dead. And because of that, there were only few knowledge about internal organs and internal diseases back then.
