What is 14 + 5x = 3 ( -x + 3 ) - 11

Answers

Answer:

X = -2

Step-by-step explanation:

Expand equation:

14 + 5x - 14 = -3x - 2 - 14

Subtract 14 from both sides:

14 + 5x - 14 = -3x - 2 - 14

Simplify:

5x = -3x - 16

Add 3x to both sides:

5x + 3x = -3x - 16 + 3x

Divide both sides by 8:

8x / 8 = -16 / 8

Simplify:

X = -2

Cora is using a search engine to find organic results. What's she looking for?

A. Commercial sites
B. Non-paid for search results
C. Social media sites
D. Sites that do not contain GMOs

Answers

Search results can be divided into two types: paid and organic. Paid search results are basically advertisements that are associated with the keywords you searched for – for example when searching sports, the first option you find is an advertisement linking you to a website selling sport shoes. This differs from organic search results which are basically (B) non-paid for search results, which will come up when people who searched for a keyword consistently clicked on your link.

B. Non-paid for search results

A search engine will provide both organic and paid results. Organic results are those based on relevance to the search, while paid results have been engineered to appear in certain searches based on SEO words. Organic results are usually more beneficially to those persons who are performing research.

Most insurance companies sell you insurance because———?

Answers

They generally take in more in premiums than they pay out.

Most insurance companies sell you insurance because they aim to provide financial protection and mitigate risk for individuals, businesses, or organizations.

Why do Insurance Company Sell Insurance?

Here are the primary reasons why insurance companies offer their services:

Risk Transfer: Insurance companies help individuals or entities transfer the financial burden of potential losses to the insurer. By paying a premium, policyholders shift the risk to the insurance company, which agrees to cover the specified losses in the event of an insured incident.Profit Motive: Insurance companies are businesses that seek to make a profit. They collect premiums from policyholders, invest those premiums to generate returns, and aim to pay out claims only when necessary. If the premiums collected exceed the claims paid and other expenses, the insurance company makes a profit.Risk Pooling: Insurance works based on the principle of risk pooling. Many policyholders pay premiums into a collective pool, and when an individual within that pool suffers a loss, the money to cover their claim comes from the pool. This way, the financial impact of a loss is spread across many policyholders, making it more manageable for each individual.Financial Security: Insurance provides peace of mind and financial security to policyholders. People buy insurance to protect themselves, their families, or their businesses against potentially catastrophic events that could result in significant financial losses.

Stear Corp. bought a machine on January 1, 2012 for $37,500. The company follows a policy of calculating depreciation using the Written-Down-Value method at 8% per annum. The accounting period of Stear Corp. is from January to December. What will be the amount of depreciation added to the Accumulated Depreciation Account for the year 2013?

Answers

Answer:

The answer would be $5,760

Explanation:

Written-down-value method (WDV) is calculated using the following formula: WDV= (Asset cost- Asset savage value)* Depreciation rate in %

at the end of 2012, Asset cost = $37,500; savage value = 0; depreciation rate= 8%

Therefore, at the end of 2012, the depreciation is calculated as follows:

WDV= 37,500* 8% = $3,000

At the end of 2013, asset cost =37,500: savage value =37500-3000= 34,500; depreciation rate= 8%

WDV = 34500 *8= $2,760

The amount of depreciation to be added to the accumulated depreciation account for the year 2013 will be the sum for the two years.

That is,  $3,000+$2,760= $5,760

Hello!

The answer is: She should check her own records to see if she made a mistake

Why?

It's most likely she made a mistake when she took her own records. Most banks have verifying systems that check every transaction and if it finds a mistake it will fix it automatically and it's probably that she does not even notice that.

If she is right and there is a mistake with the bank's records she should go to her bank and ask to discuss her account with a bank officer, it's probably the best way to solve a problem related with your bank account.

"Comrades!" cried Squealer, making little nervous skips, "a most terrible thing has been discovered. Snowball has sold himself to Frederick of Pinchfield Farm, who is even now plotting to attack us and take our farm away from us! Snowball is to act as his guide when the attack begins. But there is worse than that. We had thought that Snowball's rebellion was caused simply by his vanity and ambition. But we were wrong, comrades. Do you know what the real reason was? Snowball was in league with Jones from the very start! He was Jones's secret agent all the time. It has all been proved by documents which he left behind him and which we have only just discovered. To my mind this explains a great deal, comrades. Did we not see for ourselves how he attemptedfortunately without successto get us defeated and destroyed at the Battle of the Cowshed?" The animals were stupefied. This was a wickedness far outdoing Snowball's destruction of the windmill. But it was some minutes before they could fully take it in. They all remembered, or thought they remembered, how they had seen Snowball charging ahead of them at the Battle of the Cowshed, how he had rallied and encouraged them at every turn, and how he had not paused for an instant even when the pellets from Jones's gun had wounded his back. At first it was a little difficult to see how this fitted in with his being on Jones's side. Even Boxer, who seldom asked questions, was puzzled. He lay down, tucked his fore hoofs beneath him, shut his eyes, and with a hard effort managed to formulate his thoughts. "I do not believe that," he said. "Snowball fought bravely at the Battle of the Cowshed. I saw him myself. Did we not give him 'Animal Hero, First Class,' immediately afterwards?" "That was our mistake, comrade. For we know nowit is all written down in the secret documents that we have foundthat in reality he was trying to lure us to our doom." Which statement best explains the passage's connection to life in the Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin? Snowballs interaction with the farmers parallels the way in which spies undermined Stalins power. Boxer's puzzlement shows that he does not believe that Snowball is a traitor, which represents peoples loyalty to Stalin. Snowball's bravery during the Battle of the Cowshed earns him an award, which reflects the fighting that occurred. Excerpt from The Golden Fish: A retelling of a Russian taleLee Washington1 The old fisherman floated on the Black Sea, boat bobbing from side to side as a frigid wind sliced through his threadbare sweater. Though the fisherman and his wife were struggling to survive without much money, he thought happily of the meager but delicious dinner of homemade bread that was waiting for him at home. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pull on the fishing line, and the fisherman heaved a large, shining, yellow fish onto the boat. Its fins sparkled like coins cascading from a treasure chest.2 The fish began to beg. If you release me, the fish blubbered, Ill give you everything you need. The fisherman eyed the fantastic creature. I am content with what I have, but I will let you go regardless, the fisherman said as he plopped the fish back into the sea. 4 When the suns heavy eyelids began to droop, the fisherman returned home through the town. He passed a wealthy man arguing with a shopkeeper about merchandise and sadly shook his head at the annoyed men as he entered his house.What did you catch today? his wife inquired as she handed him some morsels of bread. The fisherman related the story of the remarkable talking fish. No fish and no wish? You threw away a lucky gift! the wife scolded, her usual affectionate manner absent as she sent her husband back to ask for more food.The drowsy fisherman walked back to the waters edge and called the name of every fish in the sea until finally the golden fish arrived on a small, sparkling wave.My wife wants more food, he told the fish, who simply nodded its scaly head and slipped back under water.9 After receiving more food, the wife sent the fisherman to ask the fish for a bigger house while she nervously picked at the expensive lobster feast spread before her. She became perpetually restless and irritable, pacing the house until the fisherman returned home each day to discover his wifes latest longing. Soon his wife felt unsatisfied with the new, luxurious house; she wanted to control more things on earth, so she sent her husband back to the fish with a request to make her queen of the seas. Once again, the exhausted fisherman walked to the sea. Hesitantly, he called every fish that lived there until the golden fish pushed aside each sardine and minnow, ready to grant the next wish.
