Thousands of people get hurt from playing sports each year. Some of these sports can be dangerous, such as football, horse riding, soccer, and so on. In soccer, you might trip and sprain a leg. In horse riding, you can fall off at any time and break a bone, your back, or worse. Playing football, a high contact sport, an accident might happen, and you could even get brain damage. I could go on and on, but there is so many to list. These can have a huge impact on you. “Stop Sport Injuries” state that over 3.5 million kids under 14, have had to receive treatment from sport injuries. From football to even hockey, people can get seriously hurt. So, teens and children should always be limited to these sports, proper safety and caution should be exercised, and at the very least be under supervision.

People lose their loved ones to sports accidents everyday all over the world, and people can no longer bare it. People are making a stand. We should limit the amount of sports that are being played. If someone were to survive a sports accident, they can still be seriously injured to where they can no longer do everyday things like walking or even putting on their own clothes. Already, according to studies shown by Rule of sports, http://www.rulesofsport.com/faq/what-is-the-world-s-most-dangerous-sport.html, it states, “Deaths per year 1,770”. That’s just from swimming. Although the odds of dying from swimming are over 1 out of 55 thousand, theres still the one that counts, and it can be deadly. The same with base jumping, it can be very dangerous. The same site says that every year, there is 43,170 casualties. The chances to dying from it is 1 out of 2,317.

Answer 1

Sports arent just bad on people physically, but they can also affect us negatively in a mental way. One way is that sports can encourage youth to focus too much on becoming a star or making a name for them selves, that they neglect other essential areas of life; practicing more than they should and avoiding a social life. They can become too obsessed with popularity, or, "Sports makes me look cool" And this can cause them to cause physical harm in themselves by ignoring the fact that sports can be life threatening. It would be hard to get them to stop there foolish lifestyle, and they could also not be spending time with loved ones, which can cause conflict within family members or partners. Also, if a young person who is so attached to sports dosent succeed in sports, they can become depressed and can eperience low self esteem, thinking that they will never succeed or "I am nothing if I cant even play sports"

So, I have a solution I’m going to share with you. Follow these quick and easy steps, and you can enjoy a nutritious and wonderful breakfast forever. I use the healthy cereal that my mom always buys. First, I add fruit—strawberries, banana, whatever we have in the house. Then, I add nuts. My favorite is walnuts, so I grab three or four and crush them up. My finishing touch is a pinch of cinnamon. It’s my secret ingredient. And then I add skim milk—and voila!

compare macbeth and mice of men with heros and villains

Answers

Answer:

Alaha Akbar

Explanation:

Final answer:

In Macbeth, the hero becomes a villain through ambition while in Of Mice and Men, traditional heroism is depicted through loyalty and care, not victories. Both stories subvert the traditional hero and villain roles, showing how circumstances and personal flaws shape characters.

Explanation:

Comparing Heroes and Villains in Macbeth and Of Mice and Men

When analyzing the depiction of heroes and villains in Macbeth by William Shakespeare and Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, it's essential to recognize the complex nature of these characters and their actions. In Macbeth, the title character starts as a hero, admired for his bravery and loyalty. However, his ambition, spurred by the prophecy of the witches and his wife's manipulations, leads him down a path of tyranny and murder, transforming him into a villain.

In contrast, Of Mice and Men doesn't present a clear-cut hero or villain. The protagonists, George and Lennie, are itinerant workers who dream of owning their piece of land. Lennie, with his child-like innocence and physical strength, inadvertently causes harm and eventually tragedy. Instead of a traditional villain, the social conditions and the characters' circumstances act as antagonistic forces.

The concept of the hero is subverted in both stories. In Macbeth, the hero becomes a villain through his actions driven by ambition and paranoia. In Of Mice and Men, the heroism is found in the simple, but profound, loyalty and care the characters exhibit for one another, especially George's protective actions towards Lennie. Both works challenge traditional notions of heroism and villainy, exploring how circumstances, personal flaws, and societal pressures can influence individuals' roles and choices.

Faustus is offended by religious symbols.

Answers

Answer: Faustus is frightened of religious symbols. is your primary answer

Explanation:

Answer:

The correct answer is Faustus is frightened of religious symbols.

Explanation:

Faustus feels threatened by the Pope when crossing himself, and threatens him by warning not to do it again.

The Pope does it again, and Faustus gives him a second threat, telling him not to do it a third time.

Apparently, Faustus only manages to threaten the Pope to stop doing that because it causes him terror, but he can do nothing more than try to scare him, and see if he gets him to stop.

Read the two passages and answer the question.

Passage 1

[1]Nothing that comes from the desert expresses its extremes better than the unhappy growth of the
tree yuccas.Tormented, thin forests of it stalk drearily in the high mesas, particularly in that
triangular slip that fans out eastward from the meeting of the Sierras and coastwise hills. The
yucca bristles with bayonet-pointed leaves, dull green, growing shaggy with age like an old
[5] man's tangled gray beard, tipped with panicles of foul, greenish blooms. After its death, which is
slow, the ghostly hollow network of its woody skeleton, with hardly power to rot, makes even
the moonlight fearful. But it isn't always this way. Before the yucca has come to flower, while
yet its bloom is a luxurious, creamy, cone-shaped bud of the size of a small cabbage, full of
sugary sap, the Indians twist it deftly out of its fence of daggers and roast the prize for their
[10] own delectation.

Passage 2

[1]I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
[5]Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
[10]Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
[15]A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
[20]In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Both passages describe a plant. The yucca tree has "foul, greenish blooms" while the daffodil is "golden." What does this word choice reveal about how the two passages view nature?

Passage 1 views nature as colorful while Passage 2 views nature as depressing.
Passage 1 views nature as exciting while Passage 2 views natures as boring.
Passage 1 views nature as stimulating while Passage 2 views nature as relaxing.
Passage 1 views nature as unpleasant while Passage 2 views nature as special.

Answers

Answer:

D

Explanation:

Well if we do process of elimination, then we know it is not A or B because passage 1  doesn't view nature as colorful, and passage 2 doesen't view nature as depressing. If you know what stimulating means (encouraging or arousing interest or enthusiasm.) then we know that passage one also doesn't view nature like that. So that leaves us with option D! I really hope this helps you!

Passage 1 view nature as unpleasant while Passage 2 views nature as special.

What does the passage say?

Technically, a passage is simply part or parcel of a written work, either fiction or non-fiction. Some believe that a passage may be as short as a sentence, but most consist of at least one paragraph and usually several.
